Julian is a British artist who specialises in making beautiful handmade sculptures. Many of the artists sculptures can be seen on the streets of Bristol, London and elsewhere. Much of the work reflects the keen interest Jules has in the natural world. However if it can be made from metal especially steel or stainless steel he will consider any topic!
Born in England August 1958. He Studied Law at Bristol and Archaeology at UCL London where he graduated BA Hon 2:1 in 1983. Struck out in the direction of construction and property, was reasonably successful until the economy hit the buffers in 1990, needless to say had to downsize along with a lot of other people!
With time on my hands I helped a good friend Pigsy Wyatt make candlesticks out of old car parts and sold them from a barrow by the Bristol Watershed. Having grasped the rudiments of welding I set about becoming a Sculptor, obvious choice really! With the massive support of my family, especially my wife Clare I haven’t looked back!
Many of the artists sculptures can be seen on the streets of Bristol, London and elsewhere. ‘The fence’ marking the boundary of his home has become a permanent gallery, a local landmark that entertains both the artist and public.
Clients include: Jason Roberts Productions, Bristol University, Millennium Fund, Blue Marlin, BBC, Hargreaves Lansdown, John Lewis Partnership, Kimberley Developments, Bristol Zoo and many private individuals.
